Samira is a Bellydancer of Lebanese descent who performs in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Samira is a popular dancer and performs every weekend in restaurants in Edmonton, as well as for private functions. She is known for demonstrating enthusiasm, joy, and a sense of playfulness in her dancing.  Samira has been featured in several media, including: City TV, Access Television Channel, The Learning Channel, CTV, the Edmonton Journal, and The Edmonton Examiner.

Although Bellydance is something that Samira grew up with, her formal training in Bellydance (also known as Oriental Dance and Raqs Sharqi) intensified her passion for the dance.

Continually on a quest for self-improvement, Samira participates regularly in workshops with internationally renowned instructors. Samira has traveled to New York to participate in the weeklong intensive workshop with Yousry Sharif in 2005, 2006, and 2007. In 2008, Samira attended a week-long workshop in Istanbul to learn the Turkish style of bellydance, and was also introduced to Turkish folkdancing and Roma dancing. In 2009, Samira attended Raquia Hassan's week-long Ahlan wa Sahlan Festival in Cairo and participated in several workshops, including one with the incomparable Dina!
